To fail is to learn

darned near the smartest man on the planet. hahaha. That is so true. the best education seems to come from the school of hard knocks.
That is supposed to say "With that reasoningI must be darned near the smartest man on the planet". Well so much for that theory.

An environment wherein it is OK to fail is mandatory. If the work environment is such that failures are punished, no one will take that risk. If people are allowed to fail, they will take risks in order to try to improve and innovate. Too often, our companies (and gov't offices) severely punish failures and then wonder why no one goes out on a limb to try to innovate.
I agree totally Mike - I love this quote 'Celebrate glorious failure -punish mediocre success'
If you're not failing.....and doing it often...you're not thinking!
