WOW! WOW! WOW! a moment to relish and relive for many a good year... this calls for your finest bottle of wine! success is always sweet Trevor - enjoy it, enjoy every single moment of it my friend...
Well done Manchester United! What a fantastic game! How is the blood pressure Trevor?
As a game it had almost everything that you could want: great football (both teams at times), tension (the penalty shoot-out), passion (from most of the players + the supporters), blood spilt in the cause (Scholes), the good, the bad and the ugly (Ronaldo – it would have been fitting if his gamesmanship had cost the match and the rest of the team had taken him into a dark corner and ‘cured’ him of his arrogance once and for all), history (Giggs overtaking Bobby Charlton’s appearance record) emotion (Lampard), despair (Terry) and a hero (Edwin van de Sar).
My blood pressure is finally lowered ... it was the longest two hours of my life and at times I thought I might die - well maybe a slight exaggeration!
It was a magnificent tribute to English football and I have never been prouder of my boys!
My men of the match were Wes Brown, Owen Hargreaves and Nemanda Vidic – three unsung heroes ….
What a night .. What a season... And the bad news for all other English teams is that Sir Alex will be around for a few more seasons yet I suspect ….
