Gotta love this

Received a brilliant 'missive' today from a friend. It's about the Tory/Lib Dem Government cuts in healthcare expenditure in the NHS

Yes ... Yes ... I know the Prime Minister says there are no 'cuts' in the healthcare budget …. I say just ask nurses and doctors at the front line - they KNOW the truth.
35 years working in the NHS taught me lots of things - one is NEVER trust what Tory Politicians say about the NHS. They want to demolish it - simple as that.

Don’t believe politicians - especially Tories. They are ripping our NHS apart for reasons of political dogma and not reality just so that the NHS is ripe for privatisation. Mark my words.

Anyway, here is the missive for some Friday evening light relief ....
Enjoy.

Proposed cuts to the National Health Service.

The British Medical Association has weighed in on the new Prime Minister David Cameron's health care proposals.

The Allergists voted to scratch it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves.

The Gastroenterologists had a sort of a gut feeling about it, but the neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve.

The Obstetricians felt they were all labouring under a misconception.

Ophthalmologists considered the idea short-sighted.

Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the Paediatricians said, "Oh, Grow up!"

The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it.

The Surgeons were fed up with the cuts and decided to wash their hands of the whole thing.

The ENT specialists didn't swallow it - and just wouldn’t hear or speak about it.

The Pharmacologists thought it was a bitter pill to swallow, and the Plastic Surgeons said, "This puts a whole new face on the matter...."

The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea.

The Dentists are fed up to their back teeth and may decide to extract themselves from any new contracts.

The Anaesthetists thought the whole idea was a gas, but the Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say no.

In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the arseholes in London.

Hi Trevor,
I dare to describe all those bandicoots who lays their hands to impose a cut into health care budget and health care expenditure as "PRIME SINISTER and not "PRIME MINISTER.....they should realise that this is a public welfare scheme of their country and this very public only made them to sit on the chair they occupy now and enjoy all the perks and privileges.

I have to limit my words since I have no much knowledge of your country's current political scenario in as much i too do not believe politicians of any country as they are not polite and do not know its meaning.

Hi Trevor,

Bandicoot means nothing but a type of destrutive large Rat found in Asian region and once it farts, one's nose(who be nearby it) will be blown because of its most offensive odour it produces after it farts.(No offence and without any prejudice whatsoever pl my beloved reader friends)

No joke Trevor you are going to laugh a lot!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks JK -So a bandicoot is a destructive rat that farts and smells offensive ...

Sounds to me like a perfect decription of Cameron and Clegg the two upper class millionaires slowly destroying any chance we have of developing caring communities in Britain.

Hi trevor,

Its right and high time people of your country unite together and make concerted efforts to trap these two bandicoots trying to interfere and cause hindrance with good welfare scheme meant for the people of your country Sir.

Hey Trevor,

This sounds depressingly similar to what is happening here in the U.S. The House Republicans just passed a budget that rolls back spending to pre-2008 levels, i.e.the beginning of the great recession. They claim that these draconian cuts will actually stimulate the economy and create jobs but from all I've read and seen don't explain how. My opinion is that it was only the massive stimulus bill passed in 2008 that prevented the recession from turning into another great depression. Fortunately the Senate, with Democrats in the majority, will never approve the House budget. All are agreed that cuts have to be made, but it's the difference between draconian and responsible. And here's the kicker. Congress is now on a seven-day vacation for Presidents Day, after which they will have just four days to reach a compromise to avoid a government shut down. Ah politics: I enjoy following it, but you couldn't pay me enough to get involved in it. Thanks for the opportunity to rant.

Hi John

Like you I could never be a politician with a capital ‘P’ although – I’m just not good enough at lying.

As Tom Peters says we all have to play politics at work. I found that particularly true in my healthcare management career. I often found myself in the middle of situations between profession and I’m sure you have that challenge too – healthcare is full of politics with a small ‘p’

I am obviously not familiar with the intricacies of the US healthcare system but I’m sad to hear of the problems. I was very optimistic when Mr Obama was elected and it seemed like a new dawn was coming in healthcare in the US.

Hi Trevor,

Obama came to power and along with a "NEW DOWN" and not a"NEW DAWN" in the health care of my US friends and he keeps his own health in tact and that's US and not us.
