Dear Trevor, An excellent post(my most liking subject) with lot of good inputs and info that needs indepth study and between lines reading. Shall read with care and attention and post my opinion.
Thanks JK – leadership is one of my favourite topics too - I love the subject and my MA Management (Healthcare) research in the mid 1990's was on leadership. I can send you a copy of my dissertation if you like reading on leadership - it is 20,000 words but happy to send it to you - just let me know. I studied leadership from the perspective of family doctors here in the UK. I interviewed 5 doctors in-depth and another 20 or so not so fully. My dissertation is called Leadership in Practice - let me know.
Thanks a million for your kind offer of sending me a copy of your dissertation on Leadership I love to read and retain with me as one of my favourite and rich possessions.
Looking forward to read through "Leadership in practice"
Hi JK - I have emailed you a copy of my dissertation as requested. Please let me know what you think when you have read it but I do not expect you to read it immediately - take your time.
Dear Trevor, Thank you for sending me "Leadership in Practice" a creation of your own and shall go through it definitely in full snd write back to you my impressions on it, well it may take time as you know I frequently travel on Biz.
I left a comment on the Training Zone site commenting on your excellent article. Additional training and experience alone does not a leader make. They have other characteristics and attributes that enable them to enable others to achieve great things...amybe personally, maybe professionally. I'm not sure if you are born with it, but it is something that you learn and apply. I do know however, we need more folks who have "it"...
Thanks for your continued support Dave - I always listen to your experience and knowledge of leadership. Like you I struggle to identify the 'it' in some leaders - but I know it when I see it!
